The moment we've all been waiting for has arrived. The color experts at Pantone have announced their color of the year for 2011 and it's - drum-roll please - Honeysuckle!

Honeysuckle is a bold red/pink color that has a lot of energy and is guaranteed to cheer up even the most grumpy among us. Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute says, "In times of stress, we need something to lift our spirits. Honeysuckle is a captivating, stimulating color that gets the adrenaline going - perfect to ward off the blues."

While I really like this color, I find it a little too feminine for my tastes. I think if I were to use it, it would be in small doses. A throw pillow here, a vase there, a few ribbon accents sprinkled through a room...
